The activity was organized by the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) as part of the European Union\u2019s initiatives to strengthen cooperation in the field of quality assurance and the recognition of qualifications across the Western Balkans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"509\" data-end=\"808\">The event brought together representatives from the European Commission, higher education institutions, quality assurance agencies, and experts from the region and EU countries to discuss the latest developments in quality assurance and the automatic recognition of qualifications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"1336\">As part of the plenary panel titled <em data-start=\"846\" data-end=\"955\">\u201cNational developments in QA and recognition: Insights from the Nordic, Benelux and Western Balkan regions<\/em><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: left;\">,\u201d\u00a0ASCAL\u00a0presented the\u00a0Albanian experience\u00a0in quality assurance reforms and the challenges to aligning<\/span>\u00a0with European standards.<br data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1097\"> The presentation highlighted the importance of fully\u00a0implementing the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and of enhanced cooperation between agencies and institutions to strengthen trust and transparency in higher education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1338\" data-end=\"1568\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">ASCAL remains committed to promoting European quality standards and strengthening regional cooperation for a more open, reliable, and integrated higher education system within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ascal.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/ascal-import\/images\/lajme\/EHEA\/2.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"1523\" height=\"1015\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ascal.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/ascal-import\/images\/lajme\/EHEA\/3.jpg\" alt=\"3\" width=\"1523\" height=\"1015\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ascal.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/ascal-import\/images\/lajme\/EHEA\/4.jpg\" alt=\"4\" width=\"1523\" height=\"1015\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ASCAL took part in the European higher education policy event \u201cAdvancing Quality Assurance and Recognition in the Western Balkans\u201d, held in Tirana.
