Composition and Organization of the Accreditation Board focused on its Representative Structure and the role of members in decision-making processes.
Accreditation Board (AB) is a collegial decision-making organ that is independent on its activity that functions alongside QAAHE. The activity and function of AB are determined in the law for the higher education nr. 80/2025, law nr. 8480, date 27.05. 1999, decision of the Minister Council nr.109, date 15.02.2017, and also its protocol of its function.
AB is made of 11 members from which minimally 3 and maximally 5 should be foreign. All of the members are worldly academic figures that have a long experience on teaching and scientific research inside and outside of the Republic of Albania territory.
The members and the director of the Board are appointed and dismissed from the proposal that the responsible minister of education provides to the Prime Minister. The members term of office is 4 years and the current board is appointed by the order of the Prime Minister nr. 191, date 16.10.2025.
